Our focus will be very much on developing and running bespoke field visits. This is something that was extremely successful for us in 2023. We will again be focusing on courses that utilise #ScotlandsGeoLab whilst continuing to develop a Spanish offering. We’ve already got a number of field visits planned with clients, and are anticipating slots filling fast … so please have a look at some suggested itineraries here and get in touch to book your space in the diary. Drop us an email at email@example.com.
Balgownie will also, for the first time, be offering small group #Geotours. These field visits will take interested groups of locals and international visitors to classic outcrops to experience Scotland’s outstanding countryside and learn about Scotland’s remarkable Geoheritage. We will be focusing these initially around Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness. A nice break from visiting the fantastic castles and distilleries Scotland has to offer. If you are planning a visit and would like to see some world class geology, get in touch.
We will also be exhibiting at a number of Conferences this year. More details will be released in mid January. These will be a great opportunities to meet up with our customers, old and new. They will also be a chance to showcase how Balgownie can support Energy Transition activities through tailored field visits.
Steve will also be jointly running a field trip with his PhD supervisor Adrian Hartley at the 2024 IAS (International Association of Sedimentologists) Conference in Aberdeen in June.
So that’s all we have planned for the moment …. but I’m sure there will be a lot more, so keep watching on the ‘Balgownie Blog‘. Let’s also keep our fingers crossed for a sunny and dry summer. There’s nothing better than a glorious sunny day on Scotland’s East Coast.
